Casperia is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Rieti in the Italian region Latium, located about northeast of Rome and about southwest of Rieti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,164 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Casperia contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Santa Maria in Legarano, San Vito di Casperia, and Paranzano.
